These are the terms for using the Takereel app and buying a license. We've kept them short and in plain language on purpose.

The free tier

You can download and use Takereel for free. The full recorder works, with recordings capped at 5 minutes. No account, no time limit, no watermark.

What a license is

• One purchase, $49.99 USD. A license removes the recording cap.
• 3 devices. You may activate your license on up to three Macs that you use.
• 12 months of updates. Your license includes every update we ship for 12 months from purchase.
• Yours forever. Every version shipped during your update window keeps working, offline, indefinitely — no subscription, no re-check, no lockout. After your window, renewing for newer versions is optional.

What you may not do

• Share, resell, or publish your license key.
• Reverse-engineer the licensing, or circumvent the free-tier cap.
• Use Takereel to record people or content where doing so is unlawful. You are responsible for complying with recording-consent laws that apply to you.

Refunds

If Takereel doesn't work for you, email [email protected] within 14 days of purchase and we'll refund you. We may ask what went wrong (so we can fix it), but a refund inside the window doesn't depend on the answer.

Your content

Your recordings are yours. They are created and stored on your machine; we claim no rights to them and never receive them. See the Privacy Policy.

Warranty and liability

Takereel is provided "as is," without warranty of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Managed Agentic Services LLC is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, and our total liability for any claim related to Takereel is limited to the amount you paid for your license. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

Changes and termination

We may update these terms; material changes will be posted here with a new effective date, and the terms in effect when you purchased continue to govern that purchase. We may refuse or revoke a license obtained fraudulently (for example, a chargeback on a delivered, working license we were never contacted about — email us first, we're reasonable).

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Ohio, USA, excluding its conflict-of-law rules.
